Unconditional Positive Regard means to express empathy, support, and acceptance to someone, regardless of what they say or do - it comes from a place of zero judgment for that other person.


But what I believe we need to have is unconditional positive regard for ourselves.


I see far too many people beating themselves up. My question to my clients is always ‘would you talk to a friend the way you talk to yourself?’ or ‘how it is serving you to talk to yourself this way?’.
