Spanish is among the most popular choices for those learning a second language. Coffee Break Spanish is a podcast designed for those looking to improve their Spanish skills. This is one of the first-ever language podcasts, starting way back in 2006.
Coffee Break Spanish has an easy-to-follow structure. Those only beginning to learn Spanish should start at the beginning of the series. Those with some Spanish experience may be able to move ahead a bit. The episodes are timeless, even though some of them are many years old.
During the first episodes, listeners will still hear some English. They will learn basic words and phrases, such as numbers and places in town. Each Coffee Break Spanish episode has a title that explains what the episode is covering. In later seasons, the podcast becomes more narrative. Listeners will get to listen to complete stories in Spanish.
As the listener gets further into the series, less English will be present in the episodes. The idea behind this podcast structure is the "total immersion" concept. The more listeners hear Spanish, the faster they can learn the language. The brain must adapt to these changes to communicate. Most people cannot travel to a Spanish-speaking country. These audio lessons are the next best thing.
Coffee Break Spanish is an excellent podcast to supplement language learning. It can help Spanish learners understand more about grammar points and how to use the imperfect tense. New episodes come out on an occasional basis.
