27-06-2024 • 3 mins

Luke Botsis, born on July 2, 1987, in Albany, New York, underwent a turbinate reduction surgery that led to the development of Empty Nose Syndrome (ENS). This debilitating condition caused him severe pain, a sensation of suffocation, and chronic dryness in his nose. Despite multiple surgeries and treatments, Luke continued to suffer intensely. His story highlights the devastating impact of ENS and the challenges patients face. Tragically, unable to endure the suffering any longer, Luke ended his life on December 9, 2021. His experience serves as a poignant reminder of the need for greater awareness and support for ENS sufferers.
