Jake Leslie joins The Ebbs and The Flows for episode 2 of Season 2 (number 12! We did it!!!) Jake is a strength and conditioning coach, sports therapist, lecturer across clubs such as the Western Bulldogs, the Melbourne Storm and the Melbourne Rebels, and a high performance coach at Optimus and The Hurt Locker, joins us as he is in transition, namely in work as he moves into medical device sales and in fatherhood. His effusive take on life is infectious with many great lessons from a life of embracing learning, consistency and showing up.

When I asked Jake to come on the podcast, it was on the back of conversations we would have about life lessons as he trained me in the gym. I found one of the powerful pulls to get him on EBBS was the contrast between our experience with mental health - mine complex and challenging with his seemingly more straightforward approach, however in this is his process. He works hard at getting the simple things right so he has a foundation to push forward with his career for his family. His record with clients and clubs is exemplary, and his focus on self-improvement and the improvement of those around him is inspiring. We go deep here - into areas Jake hasn't explored for a while, and the rewards are in an episode I am most proud of.

As always, this episode includes segments such as 'A Note to Self', 'Work in Progress' and 'Weird Fishes', and 'The Art of The List', which features four things Jake has learnt about the notion of self-improvement and one thing he is still striving for, and 'ME AND THE WORLD ON A PAGE'. His note to self is a motivational push to 18-20 year old Jake. A brief overview of the time marks are:

11:20 - The 90 Second Nugget
14:30 - The Art of the List
18ish - The Power and the Process
33:20 - ME AND THE WORLD ON A PAGE.
45.40 - A Note to Self
49.30 - Weird Fishes
