She also shares some secrets of her success and how a trip made to Reunion Island in Mauritius over 20 years ago continues to impact on her life and leadership today.

Sarah Powell is HR Director for Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons and alongside that, Interim Area Director of HR for Northern Europe and Africa for Belmond, a hospitality and leisure company that operates luxury hotels, train services and river cruises worldwide. Sarah has spent her entire career within hospitality starting as a graduate trainee with Hilton, working in both the UK and France over the 5 years she spent with them. During her time with Hilton Sarah realised that her true focus was the people and so shortly after leaving Hilton moved into HR and L&D roles for various companies including Crowne Plaza and Luxury Family Hotels. Prior to her current role Sarah worked for Soho House and led the People and Development teams for Babington House.
