With an acting career that started when she was just 12 years old, Jenny Agutter has appeared in some of the best-loved cult classics of the last 40 odd years. Her movie credits include such films as Logan’s Run, An American Werewolf in London, The Railway Children, the hugely controversial ‘Walkabout’ and even in the MCU in Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Her TV credits are just as impressive, with appearances in much-loved shows such as Magnum PI, Murder She Wrote, The Equalizer, Red Dwarf and most recently as Sister Julienne in Call the Midwife.
I caught up with Jenny in a London hotel room to discuss her work on the brilliant 1980s horror comedy ‘An American Werewolf in London’, where we talked at length about the director John Landis (who also directed Michael Jackson’s Thriller video), her controversial movie ‘Walkabout’ which was previously banned and what is was liking filming a sex scene with co-star David Naughton. Jenny opens up on An American Werewolf in London like she’s never done before.
