The French Revolution was a decisive point in History, often cited as being the beginning of the global Age of Revolutions. In France, revolution saw the end of King Louis XVI’s absolute rule, with his execution. It paved the way for democracy, republicanism, and nationalism– but France was forced to endure a horrific Reign of Terror from 1793–94 and the revolution did not end there...
