Dexter Simms is an award winning entrepreneur, mentor, community leader, role model and public speaker who was born and raised in South West London. He was educated in a state school/college within South London where Black British men had a label to not succeed. From an early age he had always dreamed of running his own business and creating a brand which he would solely own. To this day he lives this childhood dream.
Dexter’s brand Mula Cake Limited was established in 2013 and is one of the top brands hitting London’s urban fashion markets. Mula Cake specialises in urban clothing that stands for loud, happy and colourful. Since its launch Mula Cake has turned many young people away from the streets of crime to become fashion designers, models or photographers. Dexter has now branched into children’s holiday clubs, creative community hubs, business networking events, and entrepreneurial workshops.
