Maya Gabeira, Big Wave Surfer & Environmental Activist, doesn’t usually go on podcasts. So we are incredibly privileged to have her on the show as she revives her brave trajectory in pursuit of passion – from serving tables in Hawaii, to the conquest of the big waves sanctuary, Nazare (Portugal).

The one-of-a-kind athlete opens her heart about the challenges of being a pioneering woman in the testosterone-fuelled sport, an almost fatal marine accident, and the special relationship she has with her father – one of the earliest environmental spokespeople in Brazil, Fernando Gabeira, whose mission she follows as a global voice in the protection of the oceans as the ultimate effort in the fight against climate change, which she calls “The Blue Revolution”.
