The host of Intermittent Fasting Stories found her true purpose later in life. Gin Stephens taught elementary school for 28 years. It was only after retirement that she decided to make a change that would lead her to a new career. In her own words, Gin was obese most of her adult life. She tried every type of diet for years and kept losing weight and putting it back on.
In 2014, Gin made a pact with herself to stop this vicious cycle. That was when she discovered intermittent fasting. With this regimen, she lost over 80 pounds and has kept it off ever since. Her journey was so successful that she felt the need to share it with others. She started with a Facebook group, where she talked to other dieters. When Gin realized they kept asking her for tips and methods, she wrote a book with the answers. Four books later, she is an expert in the field. She also shares her story and others' with this health-focused podcast.
In each episode of Intermittent Fasting Stories, Gin speaks to a fellow dieter who succeeded thanks to her methods. She begins the conversation by asking what brought them to this method and when they started. Then, they discuss all the ways in which it improved their health, as well as general well-being. By uncovering both their challenges and triumphs, Gin helps her audience learn how to achieve the best results.
