Lauren is the Managing Director of Dare, Australia's leading legal recruitment agency. Before co-founding Dare in 2015, Lauren practised as a lawyer in large national firms as well as working in-house in the resource sector. Through the lens of a practitioner, Lauren brings a unique appreciation of the nuances of the practise of law, develops deep and meaningful relationships and has a true passion for building a future-focused and resilient legal industry. Lauren is a self-confessed legal industry nerd; following every move, trend, merger, appointment, promotion, major case and industry thought leader. Lauren has a passion for working with developing legal sectors, including NewLaw, legal tech and quasi-legal advisory. Being engrossed in the industry means Lauren sees opportunity for every lawyer. To that end, Lauren's great ambition is for every lawyer to love practising the law. That takes 'can do', 'want to do' and 'perfect timing'. To realise her ambition for the legal industry, she developed, The Dare Method: Analyse + Advise + Advocate. At the heart of the The Dare Method is a quality over quantity mentality. Lauren gets to know the lawyers and clients she works with on a deep and meaningful level to always represent their best interests. As a result, the lawyers she places become valuable, productive, happy and successful: a win for all. When Lauren is not finding better jobs for great lawyers, she is a busy mum of 3 boys ages 3, 2 and 1.
