Welcome to ⟪About that outdoor job⟫ podcast where host Charlaine Jannerfeldt has conversations with those who’ve made the outdoors their living, so you can too. We’ll share their insights, observations, tips and why not a few of their best adventure stories.
In this episode she talks with Melody Sky, adventure photographer and filmmaker, based in the Swiss Alps. Melody shares with us how she got her first photography job, how it led her to working as an ice diving guide, learning to ski and wanting to produce her own ski movies. She eventually settled in the beautiful mountain town of Verbier where she's busy working on multiple adventure photography and filmmaking projects. She openly shares not only the upsides of her profession but what the challenges are on a day-to-day basis and has some great advice for anyone wanting to make adventure photography and filmmaking their living too.
