E09 - Hear from a headteacher who puts teaching and learning first, breaks down barriers and ensures every child has a champion.

Phil Brooke is headteacher at Alexandra Park Primary School in Stockport, and a former SLE and NCETM Mastery Lead. Alexandra Park is rated Outstanding by Ofsted, which notes that the school “is very well led and managed.”

We talk to Phil about teaching in a deprived area, having a focus on teaching and learning and his determination to make sure the children under his care don’t struggle as he once did.
