Welcome to episode 16(ish) of series 3 where Jenni does a mini-breakdown on social media allyship. She starts by running through how important an inclusive mindset is to have and how “un-learning” is the place we all need to start from and continue with as we amplify and share the work of other educators and activists. Jenni goes on to discuss how the systemic foundations of discrimination built around us work to keep us separated and that the right-wing denigration of “PC” and “wokeness” should not deter us from actively working to be on the right side of history. We need to learn more, speak up, and put in the work every day to protect the civil rights of all those around us, not just the people who look like or identify the same way as we do. We hope you’ll join the fight.
