The fear of getting a “No”

The Job

The fear of someone saying "No" to our request makes us not ask for so much in our lives that would make life so much easier. We limit our opportunities because of the fear of hearing someone say "No".

This is normal, because we are hard wired to avoid rejection, which meant death in our primitive days. Now though, it just means that we have made a request and someone has said "No". In reality what you will find is that often people will say "Yes" and even if they do say "No", it's not as if someone has taken something away from you. You are in the same position as you were before so what's the big deal.
