I See a Movement

I See a Movement

This seasonal podcast is aimed first and foremost at sharing hope with others. Hope to look beyond the state of the world or the Church and trust all that God will do. This "movement" of hope requires something from us. It requires a willingness to live as witnesses in the world sharing God's love. I See a Movement varies in topics, but strives to discuss anything related to the mission to evangelize. This could mean methods in evangelization or simply growing in holiness. Your hosts, Kara Kardell, Eric Gallagher, and Fred Shellabarger, combine stories, hands-on experience, and insight guided by the Spirit to this podcast. read less

Are All Catholics Disciples?
It seems common for individuals to consider and discuss what it means to be a good Catholic, but it being Catholic different than being a disciples? How do we know whether or not we are a disciple? Mentioned in This Episode St. Ignatius of Antioch “now I begin to be a disciple.” (https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/library/seven-epistles-of-st-ignatius-of-antioch-20957) Acts 2:37 [Book] The Fulfillment of All Desire (https://amzn.to/3PXJ5OU) by Ralph Martin [Book] Connect: Real Relationships in a World of Isolation (https://amzn.to/3tdJV18) by Jonathan McKee Find all of our podcasts and more at: https://iseeamovement.fireside.fm/ Topics for Paid Subscribers What about the selfless person who has “given everything” for the Church (but wouldn’t necessarily say they have a relationship with Jesus)? Should “only” disciples be engaged in leadership and in primary pastoral leader roles in the Church? Sign up for a trial or become a paid subscriber to hear us discuss these questions. No complain shaming! In this episode we discuss our very human tendency toward complaining and the effects it can have on hope as well as whether or not there is value in complaining and what good can come from it. We dissect the difference between useless and harmful complaining versus hopeful considerations. We also discuss the alternatives to complaining that lead us deeper into holiness.
