Psalm 49, 50 & 51 Psalm 51 verses 1 - 2 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. Psalm 51 is one of my absolute go to chapter, it's the chapter that reminds me when I am in sin, and not what you might think of sin as. The sin I am talking about is putting other things before the Lord and I humbly repent for my deeds, my actions and my words. Being distant from my first love Jesus. Don't take my word for it take a listen or read Psalm 51 for yourself and let the Lord redeem you once again back to him as he did for King David. Psalm 46: 1- 4 God is our refuge and strength,     an ever-present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way     and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,  though its waters roar and foam     and the mountains quake with their surging.  There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,                                                          the holy place where the Most High dwells. I love the boldness of God's words to us, don't know who needed to hear these encouraging words but I know I do and declaring it every single day over myself. "He is my REFUGE, He is my STRENGTH, and He is my HELP all the time I cry out to HIM." Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him my Savior and my God. There are days when we wrestle with our soul because of our circumstances  but I love what scripture is saying to us here in Psalm 43, Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him my Savior and my God. When we put our hope in God he reminds us of who he is  to us and all the things he has done for us. So begin to praise him joy will fill your hearts again. And no more will you be downcast. Here's the start of Psalm 40: 1 - 3 I waited patiently for the Lord;     he turned to me and heard my cry.  He lifted me out of the slimy pit,     out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock     and gave me a firm place to stand.  He put a new song in my mouth,     a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord     and put their trust in him. As I read these words I could hear the melody and started singing along to them.
