A Poetic Memoir - The Legacy
Recently, we lost our dear friend, Reverend Claudette Douglas, and this experience has reminded me just how precious life truly is. It’s a powerful reminder to focus on what truly matters and to let go of anything that doesn’t lift us or the people around us. As Maya Angelou wisely said, 'I've always believed that one person can make a difference, and that person is you.' Our friend the Reverend Claudette Douglas embodied this belief fully, leaving a lasting impact through her warmth, strength, and kindness. This episode is a repeat, and a celebration of Claudette's life story, told through a poetic memoir that captures her spirit and the difference she made in the world. She was a spirtitual warrior and cultural activist with a long history of campaigning for causes of social equality, racial justice, community cohesion and greater spiritual interaction between all people and cultures. She was a playwright, director and author and in this episode she shares her life story through her book, Black, Blessed and British.Links:https://spiritfirst.online/debbiewilliamspodcast.com Support the show
