39. The Importance of Choosing Yourself ft. Afua Adom

Black Scot Pod

20-10-2021 • 1 hr 13 mins

This week we caught up with Afua Adom, an award-winning Glasgow-born journalist who regularly appears on ITV’s This Morning, Good Morning Britain, Jeremy Vine on Channel 5, the BBC, Sky, and CNN to name but a few!

Afua shares her journey, from leaving Glasgow at the tender age of 17, working on T4- to becoming one of the leading voices on diversity in Britain. We also get into a chat about hair and make-up woes, Scottish people (are they friendly or is this a myth?), and being the only black girl for 100 miles!

You can find Afua on instagram and twitter
