Ordinary Believers

Kingdom Empowered

Welcome to the Ordinary Believers Podcast - we're a simple arm of what will become a much larger vision, goal, business, ministry and outreach - and we're here to talk about God. Taylor and Cory have been having conversations about our faith and God for years in our respective basements and now it's time to take that out into the world. We want to start conversations where conversations usually end - at the things that we don't understand or comprehend. We aren't pastors, we aren't theologians, we are just regular guys who love God and want to talk about it with you.

Ep. 18: "Is It Okay to Question God" with Pastor Ed Newell
"So when I come to Him raw and I come to Him vulnerable and I come to Him authentically. I believe that is the most genuine aspect of my relationship with my Heavenly Father at that point and there is no part of Him I believe that He would want me to put up a mask, that He would want me to lie, that He would want me to fake it because He knows the innermost part of my being regardless. So I'm gonna come with everything that I feel and everything that I think and I'm gonna question, I'm gonna challenge and I'm going to maybe scream in anger at times but on the other side of that I believe is a deeper connection to my Heavenly Father to know that despite what I said or despite how I felt that He still has this deep-rooted love for me in my situation. He's still standing with me in it." - Pastor Ed NewellThis episode delves into the topic of questioning God and how it can strengthen one's faith. Pastor Ed Newell suggests that questioning does not make a person a bad Christian but can lead to a deeper understanding and trust in God. This heartfelt conversation encourages listeners to embrace a genuine relationship with God, find support in challenging times, and choose to believe in His character, even when faced with uncertainties.-----👕🧢Get your hands on some exclusive Drummer Matt merch and show your support, available at https://merch.kingdomempowered.com/.📍Don't miss this opportunity to join the conversation and be part of the dialogue.
