FFL 099: Gheorghe Rosca, Jr. on Public Schools Being A Threat To Our Children's Welfare And What Parents Can Do About It
On this episode of Fuel For Life, I interview my good friend and fellow pastor, Gheorghe Rosca, Jr. Gheorghe is a Founding Board Member at Protect Our Kids (POK), a coalition of parents, community leaders, attorneys, physicians, pastors, teachers and concerned citizens united in the belief that today’s public schools threaten our children’s welfare. Public schools have a role in educating children on matters of basic biology, anatomy, and reproduction. However, the promotion of se*ual intimacy, se*ual orientation and fluid gender identities are matters that far exceed the rightful boundaries of the public-school system. So too is the advancement of Marxist Critical Theory ideology and the “re-framing” of American history to indoctrinate children into politically driven and misleading narratives. Taken together, these serve as a clarion call of the dangers to children in the public schools and, by extension, our society. POK exists to inform parents about the scope of these combined threats, their rights as parents, and to protect our kids from the harms of public-school indoctrination. Pastor Gheorghe is the eighth of twelve children, born in Romania under the communist regime of Nicolae Ceaucescu. His family immigrated to the states legally in 1991. He grew up in Southern California and lives in Orange with his wife and four children. He pastors New Hope church in Placentia, CA. He holds a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and an MBA with an emphasis in Project Management from California Polytechnic University. As a registered Civil Engineer in the state of California, he leads diverse teams on large transportation infrastructure projects. As a Founding Board Member, he is passionate about protecting the freedoms granted in the Constitution that are aligned with the values of the Founding Fathers for future generations.Connect with Gheorghe on these following Social Media Platforms:Click here to follow Protect Our Kids on Instagram.Click here to friend Gheorghe on Facebook.Click here to learn more about  Gheorghe Rosca, Jr.Click here to visit the Protect Our Kids official website which hosts an enormous amount of free resources for parents. Connect with Bogdan on these following Social Media Platforms:Click here to check out Bogdan's Youtube Channel.Click here to follow Bogdan on Instagram.Click here to find out more about Forward Church in Irvine.

FFL 098: Aleksei Kharlamov on Going From Rock Star To Almost Losing It All To Getting Radically Saved By Jesus And Planting A Church
On this episode of Fuel For Life, I interview my good friend and fellow church planter Aleksei Kharlamov. Aleksei immigrated to the San Francisco Bay Area eight years ago from Moscow, Russia. Aleksei and his wife Lera are planting a new church, Spring Church, in Moraga, CA, in the East Bay Area of Northern California. In this incredible interview, Aleksei tells the story of his life leading up to planting Spring Church. Aleksei, with passion, clarity, and, at times, tears, shares the story of his radical salvation, as he surrendered his life to Jesus. He recalls what it was like to grow up and be a pastor's kid, candidly shares about his parents divorce and what it was like to grow up in a church, including meeting his wife. Aleksei also shares, with incredible transparency, how God called him and his wife to move to the Bay Area from Moscow, Russia, how he almost lost his entire family, and how God radically saved him. As I interviewed Aleksei, I could not help shedding tears, as his full testimony is dripping with the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. This interview speaks powerfully to the radical nature of God's grace. Our Lord is indeed the great Hound of Heaven.Connect with Aleksei on these following Social Media Platforms:Click here to check out Spring Church. Click here to follow Aleksei on Instagram. What Does It Mean To Be A Christian

What Does It Mean To Be A Christian
The image that best illustrates Christianity isn't a ladder that you have to climb up to get to God but rather a cross where God decided to come down to us. It’s been said that the gospel, or the good news, is like an ocean, but in the sense that it is so incredibly accessible, that children can wade into it and understand it, and also the most learned theologians keep diving as deep as they can into it and they still have not found the bottom of it, meaning as much as they understand it, they still know how much more there is to understand. That’s why there’s hope for us. This is the type of message that is going to be simple but not simplistic. Simple as in those new in Christ can understand it and deep enough for those walking with Christ for a while to once again be reminded of how truly deep the love of God for us really is. Let's get ready to find hope in Jesus, by listening to this message. Zacchaeus Meets Jesus

Zacchaeus Meets Jesus
God came to seek and save the lost. In response to God’s grace, He calls us to change and make amends for the past. Jesus approaches the crowds in Jericho, walks right through them, and goes straight to the tree Zacchaeus has climbed. He looks up at Zacchaeus (v. 5) and tells him to come down because Jesus needs to stay in his house. Who is seeking whom here? We’re told Zacchaeus is seeking Jesus, but it is very clear both from Jesus’s actions and words that Jesus is seeking out Zacchaeus. This invitation brings Zacchaeus great joy (v. 6). Here we see that Zacchaeus is already becoming a new creation in Christ, for in response to the people grumbling about him Zacchaeus announces he will give away half his money and restore fourfold any money taken wrongfully (v. 8)! Jesus seeking out Zacchaeus is a picture of his pursuit of each of us. Let's get ready to find hope in Jesus, by listening to this message. Jonah: Sheltered Under God

Jonah: Sheltered Under God
In this final message based on the book of Jonah, God uses a vivid object lesson to teach Jonah about his sovereignty over creation and salvation. God grows a plant to shade Jonah from the sun, then removes the plant to show his power and sovereignty over his creation (Jonah 4:6–8). Although the plant, like the fish, gladly obeys the command of God, Jonah has yet to get on board with God’s plan and desire for his creation. The story of Jonah ends abruptly with no apparent resolution on the part of the rebellious prophet (Jonah 4:11). However, the story has now come full circle. God began by calling Jonah to preach his message to 120,000 people, and now he has returned to deal with the one. God’s great love is not only for renegade cities with thousands of lost souls but also for the heart of his one rebellious prophet. Let's get ready to find hope in Jesus, by listening to this message. Jonah: Angry With God

Jonah: Angry With God
In this message, Pastor Bogdan helps us understand what to do when we are disappointed with God. What to do with your disappointment in God? Have you ever been disappointed with God? Have you ever been angry with God or angry at God? Those people who are in authority over us, such as parents, bosses, supervisors, leaders, and pastors,  might have made decisions that impacted us, at first, we did not understand why it is that they did what they did, but then later on, we understood that their decision was correct, even though at first, we did not understand it. Even the best parents, and the best leaders, are flawed human beings, and even with their best intentions of making good decisions, they might have made decisions that ultimately were not the wisest or the smartest. But imagine for a moment the nature of God, in that the will of God and the decisions of God, and what God allows to come to pass, is always 100% perfect and correct every single time. It does not mean that the pain that happened to you was good or that God caused it, but it can be used for your good. Today God has lovingly put you in situations and places where your comfort and desires are pressed so that they might conform to his plan for your life. Let's get ready to find hope in Jesus, by listening to this message.
