Episode #7 Is our relationship with alcohol changing?

Drugs Unwrapped: The Podcast

09-11-2023 • 49 mins

Rob is joined by Sarah, Hannah and Jamie to discuss the 'A' word, alcohol, and what our relationship is like with this substance, and where is it heading?

The panel share their experience from a services perspective, in terms of people accessing support for alcohol use, how this has increased significantly since the pandemic and how the UK Government has politicised alcohol and the public's relationship with it. The episode also discusses how people are now choosing to remove alcohol from their lives and if 'sober shaming' is an issue.

If you have been affected by the issues discussed in this episode, please visit barod.cymru and confidentially chat to a trained support worker via Barod's Live Webchat Service, that is open 7-days a week, or call Dan 24/7, Wales' national drug and alcohol helpline on 0808 808 2234 or text DAN to 81066.
