1: DCU Invent: FPC@DCU - A Conversation with John Gleeson
In our first episode of the DCU Invent Podcast, host Sean Mulvany talks with John Gleeson, the Business Development Director at FPC@DCU.
FPC@DCU is a one-stop-shop for microfluidics technology development. With expertise in microfluidic systems design, prototyping and biological optimisation, FPC@DCU works with a wide range of companies that have early-stage technologies to help them with development and commercialisation.
Furthermore, FPC@DCU offers manufacturing scale-up capabilities, with access to cutting edge small scale manufacturing, microfluidic injection moulding and automated assembly/bonding systems. FPC@DCU is delighted to talk with you about your diagnostic, microfluidic and sensing challenges.
Contact FPC@DCU through our website microfluidicsireland.com or via twitter MicrofluidicsIE
FPC@DCU is a three-way partnership between Science Foundation Ireland (SFI), the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (Aachen, Germany), and Dublin City University.
This Strategic Partnership has the privilege of being the first Fraunhofer project centre in Ireland.
They have many microfabrication tools (e.g., ultraprecision milling, laser ablation and lithography, hot embossing, adhesive patterning, thermal lamination, 3D printing) and analysis (FRT 3D optical profilometry, electron/light/AF microscopy, spectroscopy, nanoindentation, chromatography, cell culture, mass spectrometry).
