Andrew Pollack in an author and school safety activist whose daughter Meadow was on of 17 people murdered at Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018. Meadow was shot six times while she struggled to get back to her classroom. Meadow then climbed on top of another student in an attempt to save her and was then shot an additional five times. Those additional shots killed both Meadow and the other student she was attempting to shield.
