Radio Nonsense: A Comedy Club 4 Kids podcast is a comedy show for kids of all ages. The podcast's host is Tiernan Douieb, a British comedian, writer, and actor. In each episode, Tiernan invites different comedians to answer questions from listeners. The questions can be silly, but the show is serious fun!
Tiernan is a stand-up comedian with many writing and acting credits in the UK. He has written for Frankie Boyle's New World Order and acted in Fresh Meat and Cupids. He also has a few comedy specials that fans can watch online. As a podcast host, he's funny and engaging for kids and adults.
The podcast gets its young audience involved by having listeners send in questions. Many involve food. Kids want to know if they will become an avocado if they eat too many of them. They also ask why cupcakes are not served in a cup. Then, on each episode, Tiernan and a guest comedian attempt to answer those questions. Some of the comedians who have appeared on the show include Laura Lexx, Ed Petrie, Ted Hill, and Catie Wilkins. Stand-up comedian Nick Vatterott answered the question, Why are ants so small?"
The Radio Nonsense podcast also has festive episodes for special occasions. Tiernan answered holiday questions in the "Christmas Nonsense '23 with a Special Holiday Guest" episode. Or, at least, he tried.
The Comedy Club 4 Kids is a long-running, kid-friendly comedy show. It has become a multiplatform show since debuting at the 2005 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In 2019, it began its podcast, Radio Nonsense.
Radio Nonsense: A Comedy Club 4 Kids podcast is more than a show to entertain kids. It provides a platform so they can learn about and practice comedy. Parents can feel confident that the comedy is safe for their children. They might even have fun listening along.
