In this episode, I talk to Melissa B. Lombardo, author, speaker, and founder of Write Heal Thrive LLC.

Melissa is a well-travelled Connecticut native who lived in Central America for two decades. She is a Bilingual Certified Sexual Assault Crisis Advocate and knows first-hand the silence surrounding the topic of sexual violence. It was through the support of friends and family that she navigated the path of vulnerability to begin speaking out and supporting the healing of those who have faced their own trauma. She now advocates for others as they begin to heal and thrive to become their best version. As a naturally inquisitive person, Melissa credits her love of writing as the reason she was able to find her voice and thrive beyond trauma.

Melissa is the founder of Write, Heal, Thrive, which offers holistic conscious individuals the opportunity to continue their healing journey, support a supporter, and offer guidance to individuals as they find their path to healing, thriving, and well-being via books and other publications.

In the interview, we discuss Melissa’s time spent in Nicaragua, the reverse culture shock she had when coming back to the States, how she used writing and publishing to help her heal from trauma, and how she’s helping Nicaraguan artists and artisans through her Etsy shops – plus much more!
