Kacia Ghetmiri was so nervous to start the podcast EmpowerHER. She had never done podcasting before and feared she was not qualified. Worse, she thought that it wouldn't make a difference. But then, she decided to take her own advice-the same advice that she gives out to other women. She chose to get out of her own way, listen to her intuition, and go for it.
In a way, that's what the EmpowerHER podcast is all about. The host wants to encourage her listeners to start living the life they want. That's what she did when she left a secure job in the corporate world. Before Ghetmiri entered the motivational business, she had a safe job with Google. It was a position that paid well, but it did not fulfill her creative aspirations. So on evenings and weekends, the host began working on her side hustle. She built a business partnering with a network marketing company. Ghetmiri became so obsessed with that business that soon, it made her more money than her daytime role. That's when she knew it was time to take the next step. It's lucky that she did, as that choice helped her gain a seven-figure salary.
It might seem like the host of EmpowerHER had an easy road to success. But that's not the case. She encountered many challenges being her own boss and had to learn a great deal along the way. Ghetmiri admits that podcasts were a huge help when she needed them, which is why she wanted to create one as well. She wanted to be that help for someone else starting out. She even labels some of her episodes with the phrase “pep talk,” so listeners can hear some positivity.
With EmpowerHER, Ghetmiri shares her experience and those of other entrepreneurs. The podcast will show listeners that successful people are not better than them. But they do know how to ask better questions. New episodes of the podcast come out several times a week.
