#25- Ahmed Nimale: Kyd Labs
Ahmed Nihmale is the co-founder of Kyd Labs, a blockchain-integrated ticketing platform. Before starting Kyd, Ahmed spent most of his career in the ticketing and live events industries working for companies like Live Nation, Ticketmaster, and Vivid Seats. With the founding of KYD Labs, which stands for "Keep Your Distribution," Ahmed aims to address the existing challenges and inefficiencies within the ticketing industry. The company has two primary goals: first, to empower artists, promoters, and venues by increasing their revenue and solving industry problems, and second, to provide fans with a transparent ticket-buying experience that fosters stronger relationships between artists and their supporters. We recorded this live in Brooklyn during NFT.NYC and unfortunately, I didn’t have my full mic set up, so the audio isn’t perfect, but we still had a great conversation about all of the issues with the ticketing industry and all of the ways that blockchain can solve those issues. I hope you learn something new from today’s episode.Find Kyd Labs here:Website- https://kydlabs.com/Twitter- https://twitter.com/KYDLabsAhmed's Email- ahmed@kydlabs.comFind the podcast here:Twitter- https://twitter.com/futuremusicpodInstagram- https://www.instagram.com/thefutureofmusicpod/?hl=enLens- https://lenster.xyz/u/web3musicpodJake- https://twitter.com/cryptabelFind Phlote here:Website: https://www.phlote.co/Phlote TV Youtube- https://www.youtube.com/@phlotetvTwitter: https://twitter.com/teamphloteInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/teamphlote/Lens: https://lenster.xyz/u/phlote

#24- Dadabots
Dadabots is the AI Music project of CJ Carr and Zack Zukowski. Quoting their own words from their website, Dadabots is a cross between a band, a hackathon team, and an ephemeral research lab. We're musicians seduced by math. We do the science, we engineer the software, we make the music. All in one project. Don't need nobody else. Except we do, because we're standing on the shoulders of giants, and because the whole point is to collaborate with more artists. And in the future, if musicians lose their jobs, we're a scapegoat. J.K. Please don't burn us to death. We'll fight for the right side of history.. We swear..."I had an amazing conversation with CJ about how Dadabots came to be and how they use technology to create music. Zack also jumped in for part of it and gave some great perspective on the project and the future of music creation. CJ came ultra prepared with tons of videos and diagrams and music to share which he showed while sharing his screen, so I highly request watching this episode if you can. Links to do so are in the description. These guys are really at the forefront of technology when it comes to music creation and this episode was insanely fun to record. I'm sure you'll learn something new, and hopefully you'll be excited by the potential that AI and machine learning has for music's future.Find Dadabots here:Twitter- https://twitter.com/dadabotsInstagram- https://www.instagram.com/dadabots_/Website- https://dadabots.com/Youtube- https://www.youtube.com/@dadabots_Music and Other Links- https://linktr.ee/dadabotsFind the podcast here:Twitter- https://twitter.com/futuremusicpodInstagram- https://www.instagram.com/thefutureofmusicpod/?hl=enLens- https://lenster.xyz/u/web3musicpodJake- https://twitter.com/cryptabelEpisode 24 w/ Dadabots on Youtube- https://youtu.be/Bp9zvMRNdZEFind Phlote here:Website: https://www.phlote.co/Phlote TV Youtube- https://www.youtube.com/@phlotetvTwitter: https://twitter.com/teamphloteInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/teamphlote/Lens: https://lenster.xyz/u/phlote

#19- Dreams Never Die
This episode is a conversation with Chad Hillard, the founder of Dreams Never Die, and former team member Cole Ryan. Chad started the popular music blog Hilly Dilly that thrived in the blog era, discovering artists like Billie Eilish, Lorde, Tom Misch, and many others very early on in their careers, and the Dreams Never Die record label was formed in 2019 so they could start taking real bets on the artists the team was discovering. They recently got involved in web3 and just launched their Dreams Never Die founder pass to bring their fans and community members into the label and give them an intimate way to contribute. We talked about all of these things and more and had an incredibly insightful conversation around why the web3 path is worthwhile for upcoming artists.I hope you learn something new from today’s episode. This podcast is released in collaboration with Phlote, an experimental label, media company, and music platform I’ve been working with that helps artists create music and release it as digital assets.
