In this podcast episode, Addison Barnett, Director of Impact at Inclusive Employers and Maddie Wolloton-Banks, Director of Business Consulting at Grant Thornton, explore the dynamic shift in inclusion and diversity strategies over the past five years! In this insightful conversation, they delve into businesses' transformative journey, from acknowledging the importance of inclusion to recognising it as a fundamental aspect of their strategic objectives.Join us as we discuss the growing recognition of lived experiences, where passionate employees gain support and sponsorship to drive forward the inclusion and diversity (I&D) agenda. Moreover, the conversation around race and ethnicity has seen significant changes post-2020, with organisations committing to anti-racist initiatives, although sustaining momentum remains a challenge.Tune in as they navigate the progress made, the hurdles faced, and the imperative of continuous improvement in the realm of I&D. This episode offers a candid reflection on the journey and the ongoing quest for meaningful change in organisational cultures. For more information about Inclusive Employers, visit the Inclusive Employers website at inclusiveempolyers.co.uk, where you can also find top tips, resources, webinars and training to help make inclusion an everyday reality for your employees in the UK and beyond.
Anti-racism in the UK

Anti-racism in the UK
Our latest research shows that race is on the Diversity & Inclusion agenda for 85% of organisations in the UK. Following the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement, more individuals and organisations are committing to anti-racist action than ever before, but why do we still need to talk about this in 2021? In this podcast we talk about our guests' experiences and observations, how much progress has truly been made and what we can all do to make anti-racism a shared responsibility. Our guests also offer tips and advice for employers. Our host, Steven Copsey, is joined by fantastic guests, Baron Anyangwe, Head of Finance at Marks & Spencer and Sandy Sohal, Director of Homeowner Services at The Guinness Partnership, who is currently working with Inclusive Employers on an anti-racism project. To find out more about Inclusive Employers visit www.inclusiveemployers.co.ukTo find out more about how we can support your organisation to build an anti-racist culture visit: https://www.inclusiveemployers.co.uk/learning-and-development/inclusion-and-diversity-topics/black-lives-matter/support-and-resources/ To read Sandy’s recent blogs on anti-racism visit https://www.inclusiveemployers.co.uk/blog/ You can download a transcript of this podcast here. For more information about Inclusive Employers, visit the Inclusive Employers website at inclusiveempolyers.co.uk, where you can also find top tips, resources, webinars and training to help make inclusion an everyday reality for your employees in the UK and beyond.
Neurodiversity in the workplace

Neurodiversity in the workplace
To build a truly inclusive culture in your organisation you need to consider, and allow for, how every individual accesses and can thrive in, the workplace. Understanding neurodiversity is one key to enabling this.  In this month’s podcast, Steven Copsey talks to our guests about their challenges of finding work, the impact of having a supportive line manager and the challenges of working from home due to Covid 19.  We also offer support and advice to employers to make it easier for those with neurodivergent conditions to join their organisations and challenge preconceptions – not everyone who has Autism and other neurodiverse conditions, such as ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Asperger's, is the same.  Our guests are our very own Zeinab Ali, Inclusive Employers’ Digital Marketing and Membership Adminstrator, and Simon Richards, Vice-Chair of All Wales People First National Council. We’re also joined by Naz Mir, Inclusive & Diversity Consultant at Inclusive Employers.  To find out more about Inclusive Employers visit www.inclusiveemployers.co.uk  To find out more about how you can ensure people with neurodiversity are included and supported in your workplace visit  https://www.inclusiveemployers.co.uk/learning-and-development/inclusion-and-diversity-topics/understanding-difference/neurodiversity/  For our full list of Inclusive Employers events and webinars visit https://www.inclusiveemployers.co.uk/membership/all-events/ If you need a transcript to access this podcast you can download it here. For more information about Inclusive Employers, visit the Inclusive Employers website at inclusiveempolyers.co.uk, where you can also find top tips, resources, webinars and training to help make inclusion an everyday reality for your employees in the UK and beyond.
