In Egypt Osiris was regularly depicted and referred to as a giant. This happens in some very special monuments and situations too, devoted as they were to the magical transformation. This is yet another explanation of a Biblical account of the Nephilim, which was translated as meaning Giant in the Greek version of the Bible. This translation was commissioned by the pharaohs for their Library of Alexandria, where the 70 Jewish scholars worked, no doubt drawing on Egyptian sources chronicles. This is no mere idle interest but reveals an important magical and/or physiological insights, that persist over time.
