537 - The Wampler Fearbox, Brian gets kicked off TikTok, and New Guitar Day
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 537 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - The Wampler Fearbox, Brian gets kicked off TikTok, and New Guitar Day   Brian is having trouble rolling his Rs and there has been a slew of pedal releases from Keeley, JHS, and apparently also Wampler. But one that caught the collective eye was a reasonably unique compressor / fuzz circuit from a good friend of the show. Richard has had an IT disaster. Brian and Blake turn into British Victorian-era urchins when asked about transistors. Wampler have released a limited edition (and now sold out) version of the Gearbox - the Fearbox - and the guys chat about it. Blake has been to see some live music and Brian somehow is an expert on this. Brian has been kicked off TikTok and he is not happy about it. Richard visited Andertons an as a result he had a new guitar day and tells us about it and some of the other guitars he tested. Blake has a new pedal from Warm Audio, has confessed he is hoarding like Smaug, and foreshadows some future releases. It seems that Richard has found his ultimate 80's guitar and is suffering from some first world problems and makes an absurd prediction that angers Blake greatly. The guys then turn the conversation to selling guitars and somehow fish and trainsets are involved. Leaks everywhere, Electric Love, Gallagher World, Silver Sky SE, RG 550, Jaguars vs Jazzmasters, Trumptonshire...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://www.wamplerdiy.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

536 - Roundtable of Chief Guitar Officers with Scott Heydt and Judd Silver
Brian, Blake, and Richard are joined by not one but two very special guests for Episode 536 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Roundtable of Chief Guitar Officers with Scott Heydt and Judd Silver  Scott and Judd have been friends for many years and after both had spent a lot of time working in the music industry they came together to create a show - the Chief Guitar Officer podcast. What on earth possessed them to do that? Madness I say! They have fantastic stories to tell and a great perspective on the music industry and we think you will absolutely love this episode. The conversation continues into a look at the state of printed and online guitar magazines and the future of music publishing and advertising. This turns into a discussion about Scott's past with Gary Vaynerchuk, and an unusual coincidence that brought all the guys together. This is quite the origin story with at least one common thread - the guitar. David Gilmour may also get a mention. The interviewers become the interviewed as Judd and Scott ask Richard and Blake about how their love of the guitar properly started and we go deep with some psychology that resonates with everyone. Richard turns the tables and we hear about Scott and Judd's early influences before talking about which guitar is the best - Stratocaster or Telecaster...Egon Spengler, VHS, Crushing It, Rockonteurs, Jim Irsay, Alexi Lalas, Fender Custom Shop...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://www.wamplerdiy.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

535 - Nothing but a good time, how pedals work, and a skateboarding legend
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 535 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Nothing but a good time, how pedals work, and a skateboarding legend  Richard has been breadboarding pedals with some success and he is keen to talk to the guys about his attempts at building a modified LPB1 booster pedal. Blake struggles to stay awake. Brian talks us through his modification and talks a little bit about this classic boost circuit and this turns into a little bit of a primer for guitar effects in general. Blake has been roleplaying and it takes the guys buy surprise so they go off on a tangent into the world of robots before Brian tells us of his gaming tactics. Richard insults him before they discuss a documentary about 1980s hair metal that involves ridiculous meat based antics. He also met one of his heroes and saw some live music which wasn't related to Pink Floyd and asks the question - who is the greatest Female Telecaster player of all time? SNL made a sketch about Oasis and it did not go down well. Meanwhile the guys have been lusting over the Greg Koch "Koch Ness Monster" pedalboard and Brian finds inspiration from Robert Keeley. This flows smoothly into a conversation about compressor pedals, feed-forward designs, and the EGO 76. Meanwhile Richard has been blown away by an early pioneer of delay effects. Flossie the sheep, WASP, Tracii Guns, The Picturebooks, The Pretenders, John Martyn, Cher...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://www.wamplerdiy.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

534 - Welcome to the chug spectrum and some major pedal hinting
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 534 of the Chasing Tone - Welcome to the chug spectrum and some major pedal hinting   Brian attempts to immediately cancel Richard as the guys talk about the podcasting life and some recent ill feelings against the podcast world. He has been moderately outraged by a recent thread on Tubescreamers and the guys try not to wind him up further. Blake tests the sound of cardboard. Brian is a defender against misinformation. Richard has been looking at the history of the Big Muff and is amazed at how many variations there have been. Somehow dubstep is involved. Richard has also been given a fantastic tip from the wizards at Reeves Electro and has some of his own DIY tips. It's also new amp day and there are some major pedal hints.Has the recent Neural Nano thingummy started a new modeling war? The guys debate this. Fender have also teased some new images and the guys speculate over which color schemes they will announce. Brian is not impressed and Richard has a new strap. Leprechaun squats, Parts tolerances, Wub, Soldano Astro 20, Typefaces...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://www.wamplerdiy.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

533 - Fuzz news, a summit of guitars, and behold - the Quietening
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 533 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Fuzz news, a summit of guitars, and behold - the QuieteningBrian is goading Richard once more and provokes him into an admission about some tickets he has bought. Blake has attachments. Do you ever calibrate your string bends? The guys talk about how they practice perfect bends. A feller smashed a guitar with a hammer and it made the news. Richard is upset that he didn't get invited to the party. There's a new Phil X pedal out, the PX0, and the guys check it out and Blake gets frisky before Richard makes various strange claims. The guys also reflect on the recent passing of Kris Kristofferson and what it means not just to country music, but to the world of entertainment on the whole. The British King of Fuzz has been active and has breadboarded a new pedal. He made a number of noob errors and Brian had to help him whilst stifling his laughter. All is not lost, he finally created an awesome pedal, but there were many hiccups along the way. Jim Indiana, Whammy bar tips, Ryan Burke, The Cure, Guitar Summit, Bensonfest, the anti-booster..it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://www.wamplerdiy.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

532 - The Supreme Wah and the Hans Zimmer shimmer
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 532 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - The Supreme Wah and the Hans Zimmer shimmer  Richard and Brian indulge in a ridiculous trade off of barely coded statements as a certain guitarist is banned from being mentioned. Blake ignores them roundly and tells us about his new vintage guitar purchase and Brian admits that he is finally beginning to love his Stratocaster...sorta. He has also been compared to someone and that has disturbed him but not as much as learning about UK licensing laws. Do you have any signature guitar moves you bust out on stage? The guys discuss how this is never a good idea at their age and Brian has never heard of a famous band. Meanwhile Keeley have launched an interesting new pedal which the guys love and Brian has got the new Neural Nano Cortex. He tells us all about how much he has - or hasn't - played it. Brian has some photography tips for anyone planning on doing something really silly with a pedal. We also deal with a number of listener questions including what the most embarrassing moment at a gig was, whether we will make a mini EGO 76, and will we make an analog uni-vibe? Oh, and I suppose we might hear something about a dress rehearsal Richard went to... Squier, Larry David, Level 42, Octa Psi, George Lynch ...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://www.wamplerdiy.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

531 - Tube based Pedals, Tuna Fuzz, and On-stage Punch ups
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 531 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Tube based Pedals, Tuna Fuzz, and On-stage Punch ups   We have a rare musical treat as Brian and Blake serenade our listeners with a country ode to one of Brian's most favorite substances in the world...no not that one...or that one. He got a flat tire and Richard is shocked at his lack of preparation and surprised by a pedalboard with wheels. Richard has also received a brand new pedal and he is very excited by it despite is gargantuan size. Richard will be going to the ball! Yes - there is Gilmour news - he can’t contain himself or his vast knowledge of American geography. Brian destroys all his hopes and dreams. Deservedly so too. The guys got a sneak peak at the new Neural DSP Nano Cortex Modeler and chat about it and also the new update to the baby Line 6 pedal. There is unlimited confusion.Fender have released a new amplifier in conjunction with Jack White and the guys check it out and are suitably impressed. Would you buy an extended warranty for your gear? The chaps discuss a new concept that Fender seem to be playing with and Brian makes an announcement. There was quite a well covered dispute on stage this week as the members of Janes Addiction threw punches so we close with a brief look at that.Claus Grabke, Quality inventions, Omega 3s, Simon Pegg, Hillbilly activities, the Oliverb...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://www.wamplerdiy.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

530 - Brian checks in with uncle Brad and is this the ultimate portable practice rig?
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 530 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Brian checks in with uncle Brad and is this the ultimate portable practice rig?   Brian is in cowboy mode and Blake tells us about his cattle rustling days. Brian tells us about how someone he know likes to try and wrestle sedentary bovine creatures - yes you read that correct. Richard is suspicious. Richard also has views about the new David Gilmour Album, Luck and Strange, and he can't wait to tell us. Brian is not thrilled. But it leads onto an interesting conversation about acrobatics vs feel in guitar playing. There was other big news in the music world with the re-emergence of Linkin Park and the guys have a lot of views about this - especially Blake who grew up on their music - and it spins into an interesting and candid conversation about music in general. Somehow the Doors are involved too. The Wampler Tumnus got a little acclaim in a publication and the guys debate this and the mechanics of commercial songwriting.Richard has tales of woe and, err, stagnant Guinness and regales us with his germ ridden views and does not invent anything at all. Brian takes an important call from a certain legend of the guitar and goes to an intimate concert and eats world beating hot fudge cake. Finally there is some massive gear news - and Richard is excited. 529 - A legendary Les Paul and the Circle of Wahs
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 529 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - A legendary Les Paul and the Circle of Wahs  We open up with an international weather report from the guys and Brian tells us about his mini vacation that saw him make a wild return to nature. Kinda. The big news across the pond is all about Oasis (still) and their ticket prices so the guys debate the policy of surge ticket pricing and supply and demand. Do you have an upper limit to how much you would pay for a concert ticket? Blake reached his when he went to see Pantera and Metallica with his kids and he tells us all about it. He has zero regrets. But he did make an interesting observation about the sound dynamics of the venue and breaks it down to the chaps. Brian talks about his home made hearing protection and Blake solicits the views of an audiologist.  MXR have released another signature pedal and this one has magical powers - or so Richard believes - so the guys discuss this and a rather special Flying Vee. Brian is still in love with his Explorer. Richard had band practice and tells us about this and his new pedalboard. He discussed the problems he had with his amp's distortion, his memory, his love of the Gearbox, and his memory. Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 528 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Blake is definitely not mad for it, but Brian is all about the Even FlowBrian is feeling somewhat civilized and Richard has a magical revelation. He is an idiot though. Brian has been to see one of his favorite bands and tells the guys all about it and how he managed to get tickets to the hottest show in town. He has some odd observations that seem to revolve around hygiene. Richard tries to lay some major music news on Blake and it goes down like a lead balloon so he doubles down on the Brit Pop history. This leads him to ruminate over old age, concert going habits, and he gives away some of Brian’s driving secrets. Meanwhile, Blake tells us about the hot sauces he has put in his eyes and Brian gets Rockunized. The guys then get into a very bizarre conversation about wearable guitar gear and I apologize in advance if you feel your IQ being dragged down by this. Origin Effects have just release a new Bluesbreaker pedal and Blake is very excited by it. Richard has been digging into Fender finishes and rarer models and he found a bargain so tells us all about it...  Salt licks, The Necromantic Doors, Cockney slurs, Pimping Golf buggies, Transdimensional vehicles...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://www.wamplerdiy.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

527 - The most important electric guitar performance ever? Also New Guitar Day!
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 527 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - The most important electric guitar performance ever? Also New Guitar Day! Brian teases a "special private show" and Richard discovers something about his American brethren and it has upset him - but then a lot has this week. More importantly Brian has a brand new guitar! He tells us all about it and some of the unexpected features it has and the guys notice a special twinkle in Brian's eye. Brian also said something outrageous about a classic Fender design and Richard is disturbed. On the 55th anniversary of the Woodstock festival, Richard got a chance to re-watch that infamous Jimi Hendrix performance, and he has views which the guys debate. He also managed to learn something from the master of the Stratocaster and is very proud of himself. Brian also has learned something new - about Pink Floyd - and admits to being a foolish individual and there is talk of school-day shenanigans. Blake has issues. Blake has a very special Metalzone and he tells us all about it and the guys talk about pedal naming schema before getting defeated by a classic pedal name. Brian is expanding his barn and Richard has a new pedal which he thinks is one of the most fun pedals ever. Do fancy IEC cables make a difference to your amps tone? This was a question asked on the tone group so the guys dig in. Giant Cases, Clown Shoes, Jimi Hendrix, Vintage guitar stickers, Chapman Guitars, Randall Smith...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://www.wamplerdiy.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

526 - Gabe Dalporto, the new CEO of Guitar Center drops in...
Brian, Blake, and Richard are joined by Gabe Dalporto, the CEO of Guitar Center for Episode 526 of the Chasing Tone Podcast This week the guys have an exclusive episode for you with a very special guest - Gabe Dalporto. He is the new CEO at Guitar Center and he has probably seen more amazing string, valve, and transistor based toys than most of us can dream of. Gabe's story about his musical family roots, his rather excellent first guitar, and his passion for music is a great story you will want to listen to.Gabe tells us about his music tastes, his writing, and his gigging experiences before he reveals that he is in fact a complete gear nut just like all of us! This turns into a fascinating insight into how Gabe has not just analysed the business he runs, but has lived and breathed Guitar Center since he joined it, and created a vision for a ground up rejuvenation of this retail behemoth. We get a very candid and thoughtful appraisal of the business model of Guitar Center to date and then a glimpse of where it is going and how giant pedalboards will play a role. If you are interested in the music instrument business, heck if you are interested in musical instruments full stop, then this episode does not disappoint. Brian and Blake have some good ideas. 525 - Sometimes the right song at the right time can impact you like nothing else...
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 525 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Sometimes the right song at the right time can impact you like nothing else...Blake has been blessed with luck in the form of his son's predictive skills and so is immediately buying a lottery ticket. There have been other pedals released with Germanium components within and this also sparks some conversation. Those pioneers of pedal perfection, Electro Harmonix, have released a new POG. It looks insanely good so the guys talk about it and Richard makes a terrible Dad joke. Blake has a new vintage Gibson guitar acquisition and the guys dig in and discuss some of the electronic quirks and features. Richard wants a new guitar but he has a problem and tells us all about it. Aerosmith have announced the end of their touring career and this almost provokes a sensible discussion. Richard admits his awe for Hendrix. Brian has a proud Dad moment when one of his children makes a music based confession and it has made him very happy. This morphs into a conversation about the pull of music and how people have different emotional levels of involvement with it. 524 - Mine some more Germanium!
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 524 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Mine some more Germanium!   Well it has been a week! We check in with the guys post the release of the Germanium Tumnus Deluxe and it's fair to say that said pedal is the main subject matter of the episode. We told everyone it was coming. It made no difference! The pedal sold out in record time and it caused some website availability issues and Richard and Brian talk about how they got through a crazy week. The guys recall other pedal special editions and Brian gives away some personal secrets before returning to the topic du jour. Richard details some of the server shenanigans and also talks about how stock levels are managed. Blake calls both Richard and Brian names, but they are pretty hardened to it, and gives some interesting statistical analysis of the music industry.  There was predictably an almost immediate response by professional flippers so the guys are also duty bound to look into this. Richard got hold of another new pedal and gets the name wrong but he loves it and that's all that matters. It is the boost he has been looking for so he tells us all...Germanium craziness, Speedos, Tim Apple, Reverb Madness, Devtech Powerdriver, Patreon exclusives...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://modyourownpedal.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 523 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - A new pedal and we broke the internet again...Picture the scene. It is a beautiful summer Tuesday night. The guys are chatting away merrily about a load of random nonsense. Richard is congratulating himself about the launch of the new Wampler website. Brian was farming goats. Blake was, well - the less said about that, the better. Little did Richard realise that 24 hours later his world would be shattered by crazy demand for Wampler's latest release...But that is now and this was then, and we welcome Blake back to the fold from his travels and he tells us about how he jumped off a bridge. Richard has a brand new Internet. Brian does not have a brand new guitar. But he has a new pedal out, and he and Richard discuss it, but neither realise the chaos that was to come...If you own multiple guitars, have you ever played them all in one sitting? The guys chat about what this does for you. Blake has played a bender equipped Tele and tells us all about it. 522 - Non Fungible Tones with Ryan Burke from 60 Cycle Hum!
Brian and Richard are joined by Ryan Burke for Episode 522 of the Chasing Tone PodcastBlake is out of town on string business so the guys are joined by Ryan Burke of 60 Cycle hum and his haunted mannequin...yes, you read that correct. This naturally means there is some offset guitar insight - 'offsight' if you will - and Ryan has great advice for anyone weighing up their options. Do you collect pedals as an investment? The guys chat about the ramifications of where the collectable pedal market is going and then of course try to accurately predict the future and along the way they invent a new form of musical currency. Richard has a pedal related confession to make and Brian is thinking about Germanium hearing aids.Ryan has a box full of Afford-a-board pedals and tells us about some of the fun discoveries he has made. Somehow this transitions into a conversation about soccer, surfing, and then of course, surf music and skateboarding! This is a very funny episode despite some lag issues so get your laughing gear on! Noodle and flutter, Player II Fenders, Tone Detective, Rabbit Trails, The PRS of waves...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://modyourownpedal.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

Meanwhile Fender have launched their new Player II range of guitars and our good buddy Travis Feaster got to be part of the launch so we talk about that before looking at some more band practice woes.Blake ducks out early because apparently he like his job, so Brian and Richard fumble on through the subjects...and Brian becomes audibly aroused at a new Gibson special edition.  This turns into a discussion about how good quality guitar gear is so much more affordable these days and then Richard inadvertently gives Brian a new idea and immediately regrets it. 520 - The Birthday Roast of Brian Wampler and new guitar day!
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 520 of the Chasing Tone Podcast Our glorious leader has reached a milestone birthday and the chaps kick off by looking back at the Roast video that the team at Wampler put together for him. Richard notes an interesting horological coincidence and Brian gives us his views on aging. In a twist of pure Irony, Brian is struggling to find a compressor, and the guys listen to his tales of woe.Have you got any Tube based drive pedals? In a bizarre twist of fate Brian has decide to educate Richard on the best way to get the "Classic" David Gilmour tone and there is some ill advised political commentary as Richard reviews a recent piece of marketing from a political party. Blake has had some unexpected musical adventures and tells us all about it. Richard has taken delivery of a lifetime's supply of spices and Brian has a request. He also went to see Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets with his schoolfriend and gave pedals to the band. This leads onto a discussion about a very high end delay pedal that commands a premium price. There is a very scary AI credit read from RoboBrian. Bob Ross, Luggable Computers, Fancy Components, Palm Bay guitars, Siri Threepio, Rockonteurs ...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone! Thanks to all our supporters - you are awesome! We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Awesome Course, Merch and DIY mods:https://www.guitarpedalcourse.com/https://modyourownpedal.com/Find us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdVrg4Wl3vjIxonABn6RfWwContact us at: podcast@wamplerpedals.comSupport the show

519 - Why you should always record yourself playing...
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 519 of the Chasing Tone Podcast Ai has finally gone to far and we have an Ai version of Brian and it causes some emotional distress. Brian also has a rubber device. Richard tells us about his first experience with IRs and IEMs in a band practice scenario. It was a a partial success. Richard also has purchased new gear, has learned some important new lessons, and Brian continues to hellishly rebuke him. We've had some really interesting suggestions for 1980's themed shredding guitars and Richard talks about some of the candidates and it provokes reactions from Brian. Brian then makes some gangland confessions. There's a new Fender artist Telecaster and it has caught the guys' attention so they talk about it before revealing some interesting statistical facts about Brian;'s pedalbuilding career.  What do you think about companies that make completely identical pedals to the original they're based on? There was a release this week that was close to home and the guys all have reactions. David Gilmour released a new track and Richard is a big fan. Take a shot. The guys had a message from the listeners about modern Country music and have some suggestions for artists to listen to. The Karate Kid, Westone, Redline BMX, Big Mick, Waylon Jennings, Andy Wood...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!

518 - The Power of Fuzz Compels You!
Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 518 of the Chasing Tone Podcast Blake has been standing to work for a long time and it is energizing him so the guys discuss the merits of office furniture. Yes, you read that correctly.  This turns into a conversation about how you apply Tolex correctly as Richard thinks about building his own amplifier.  Do you wait before you switch on the stand-by switch on your amplifier? The guys ponder this age old question.Richard invokes a hellish rebuke from Brian when he tries to convince him that MIDI is the future for amplifier control and a robust and bizarre conversation ensues.  Richard has been thinking about digital modelling and Brian is not happy with him, but he and Blake also have some new gear and it somehow involves the Insane Clown Posse.  Richard is also worried about taking his favorite combo amplifier to gigs until his personal amp tech intervenes... What size pick do you use when you play guitar? This question provokes a variety of responses from the chaps and Brian desires a new sponsorship.  Speaking of Brians, Brian May has just made a not particularly surprising announcement about a collaboration with Gibson. Richard makes bizarre confessions about his follicular obsessions. He is a mean and awful person and tries to explain British humor - badly. Chair Rugs, Pain and Anguish, Synergy IICP, Rivera Chubster 55, Secret Aardvark, Blue Chip Picks, Guitar Auctions ...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!
