Meditation: Cultivating Safety by Meeting Emotions

With the Lunar Nodes, Pluto and the Sun currently highlighting Aries in Chiron (just before Pluto's entry into Aquarius on Jan 20 2023!), I know you've been facing a lot of triggers.


It might seem like all of your usual attempts to escape from the discomfort Chiron & Pluto may be bringing to the surface are not an option right now. Hence me getting sick and not being able to work - needing to sit with some heavy, deeply buried emotions. I've also had clients and friends get hit with sickness, last minute changes to travel plans, accidents, bad dreams - you name it. Everything is coming to the surface to be witnessed right now.


As much as we might be really committed to honouring & feeling our emotions, all of us have things we'd rather avoid most of the time - and practices we use to keep us distracted from these things. Whether its keeping our social calendar overbooked, travelling, overworking ourselves… pick your poison.


But right now, with Chiron approaching its conjunction with the North Node in February 2023, and with Pluto highlighted by the Sun in the last degrees of Capricorn - it might seem like there is nowhere to hide.


I'm here to tell you that the light will shine again. Pluto only exposes the darkness, so you can find the light and take your power back. Chiron only exposes the hurt so you can heal it and transform your pain into purpose.


This is why I recorded this brief meditation for you to honour whatever emotions might be coming up for you right now, and to connect with their underlying need. Under every emotion is usually an unmet need. This practice allows you to understand how to take care of it yourself, so you don't project it onto others and perpetuate the very patterns you are being asked to heal.
