Women Who Should Be Famous

Claire Robilliard

Have you ever had a conversation with a female friend, colleague, family, or even a stranger where they said something that changed the way you thought about something, helped you see something in a different light, or even just felt soothed that you were having a conversation? I have had many and I would like to make parts of those conversations available to a wider audience especially on unspoken topics like miscarriage, suicide, money worries, feeling lost and so much more. Find comfort, peace and joy in these beautifully therapeutic conversations, and some of my own individual thoughts too

Are you a Mother with a neurodiverse child?

Are you a Mother with a neurodiverse child?
This chat is with Mum - Natasha Louise Middleton, who has two neurodiverse children and here we gain a deeper understanding as to why it may be particularly important to focus on the Mums and their parenting journey.Natasha says that with all the planning and reading of what it's like to be a parent with a neurodiverse child you may as well throw out the rule book as this will require you to adapt.Natasha has written two e-books offering 'doable' self-care!She connects the 'woo' with the 'science' and shows that if we explore our spirituality rather than parking it away somewhere we may just uncover a sense of ease within ourselves and our children.Another tip is the art of laughter in a present moment to shift away from a negative narrative! Plus, she shares the 'ripple effect' between Mother and child in every direction.Book recommendation:Scattered Minds by Dr Gabor Maté (Natasha and I had many similarities, and we were even reading this book at the same time!)Reframing is a skill Natasha has practiced through powerful words such as; "Everything is working out in my favour. Everything is working for me." helps her to anchor herself.I loved Natasha's response to my final question Q: "how will someone know they are ready to wotrk with you?"ConnectAll ways to connect can be achieved via Natasha's website: https://natashalouisemiddleton.com/ This is a public episode. Connect to life in a new way
Dr Magdalena Baciu invites us to connect with who we are with kindness, with love, and with respect to be ourselves and aware of our gifts "You cannot force a rose to open when you want it to" says Magdalena. Showing that going slower is the way, though is it our perception that it's slow?Magdalena discusses the space between birth and passing away, and to find grace in challenging moments. We dabble a little in two topics that I've expanded upon with other women which you may wish to tune into. The titles for those are 'Is it important to gather wisdom?' and 'can we switch careers?' plus, my own reflections with 'Must we always have a job title?'Magdalena has faced an incredible amount of challenges, facing them with grace and by observing them through the lens of her scientific thinking stating that 'we can only heal ourselves!' We discuss her journey with Lymes Disease, OCD, Anxiety, Bullying to name a few.Magdalena coaches people to marry up alchemy and vision, with creation from the linear of survival and materialistic approaches to explore a new map that actually connects it all up!CEO's are Magdalena's favourite clients as they go on to influence so many others! Their speeches need a 'lift of the heart' she expresses.Magdalena sees 3 obstacles we journey through those that come from within, those that come from outside ourselves, and finally those that are out of our control, listen and explore with us!Her favourite books are filled with poetry as she sees a new point of view through verse, and like me has 4 or 5 books on the go at a time!A generous gift from Magdalena is that all WWSBF podcast listeners are welcomed for a clarity call with her, something I myself have experienced, creating strong turning points. Do you know how to be free?
If you need a firecracker of a conversation to spark something within you to be free in the world then this may just be the kickstarter conversation you need to hear!Let's start with the word 'freedom' what does it mean to you? For Jackie she had transitioned from 'doer' to 'being'. Her first birth led to an awakening, along with being told that she couldn't go home despite working long hours and was simply exhausted! I loved how grounded Jackie's expression of this word was.We move to manifestation which moves on to be described as visualisation, to creative, reflective, conscious, and subconscious writing to knowing!Jackie dances between Yogic philosophy blended with Western understandings which is a beautiful way to bring explanations alive.Crippling Insomnia was the turning point from a career in TV to Yoga, where she navigated her Yoga career alongside her children's development starting with Baby Yoga, Teen Yoga, Neurodiverse Yoga, Zen Mumma,.Jackie shares the journey to become a CIC, the newer and sustainable version of a not-for-profit organisation to bring Yoga to communities in an affordable way as we need to step away from this current 'age of anxiety'.'We need to move' is a call to action Jackie urges us all to tune into, bringing to life that sixth sense of Proprioception. There's another call for education to change 'it is no longer fit for purpose' we are trying to force all children to follow the same route, it's not working! There's some open dialogue between Jackie and I around the topic of neurodivergence, and not being heard.'Turn my face to the sunshine' are the words that anchor Jackie.Books: Jackie studies Yoga so reads many texts for this but a favourite read is The Doors Of Perception by Aldous Huxley - a series of essays. A Stroke Of Insight by Jill Bolte-Taylor and The Life Of Pi are other recommendations. Two of Jackie's focuses are on maternity services and wellbeing in schools - join her on the mission!Instagram: @jackie.freedomseekerswww.freedomwellbeingproject.co.uk www.zenmuma.co.ukwww.freedomandwww.freedomyogaandretreats.com This is a public episode. How to find where you belong
Natalie LeFebvre was born in Zimbabwe, raised as a child in South Africa, spending most of her adulthood in the UK, and now residing in Portugal yet describes herself as a nomad, who's home is within - it's a really interesting perspective. In your environment you also have to be connected with the right people and it might surprise you and encourage you to seek out people who challenge you so that you can come to know your 'whole' self.Natalie describes energy as Good Father and Good Mother, as a way to remove any toxicity from masculine and feminine energies, relating them to our 'home' and places.Nelson Mandela's words and actions have greatly influenced Natalie's clear humanitarian ways that come so naturally to her.She has written a book on a true story that she feels needs to be heard, one she said she would always write on the beauty of the human spirit. Sharing a family's story from Zambia and how they chose to transition what could've been potential hatred into compassion.Natalie has also ventured into a new business - Settle In; where she helps people find homes, and on the top of her list for everyone is that it must hold a quiet space where you can BE in your own company. Her 3 tips to self-care are 1) Yoga 2) Nature and 3) To have something to care about.Book RecommendationsThe Artist's Way by Julia Cameron where a phrase 'jump and the net will appear' has remained with her for years. In the Meantime by Iyanla VanzantConnect with NatalieInstagram: settle_in_portugal This is a public episode. How is best to move your body Pt 2
In this second part of our conversation Christina Fulcher shows us the journey of a Pilates Instructor, a chosen career path in wellbeing can be hard to turn into a sustainable business, and how in the early days when Christina was asked what she did for a living and she announced she was a Pilates Instructor how they would then ask what else do you do as they saw it as a part-time kind of job! Ironically, Christina would 'move' for 50 hours a week!We also discuss the beautiful organic way her business grew after one person read an article in a magazine about her and went onto recommend her to friends who then recommended her further and so the growth of good ol' fashioned word of mouth.Christina shares her approach being a blend of humanness and humour which help people to feel comfortable with the techniques behind each Pilates move, and this episode is a really insightful guide as to what you should be seeking from an instructor to get the breakthroughs this wonderful fitness approach can have on you! There's a beautiful honesty on Christina's own journey with self-care as a single mum, and that in part her career being what it is brings her a natural dose of fulfilment, joy, and appreciation.Words we explore'Let your breath lead you to movement' - a take on a quote from Joseph Pilates.'Breathe In' - words Christina puts on her Organic apparel as it's the very starting point of breathing!'Working with the resources you have' - to enable organic flow in your progress, rather than force.BooksWhen on holiday Christina can soak up 3-4 books in a week but that with her full life she chooses quiet time with her own thoughts over sneaking in audible books while on the move. She loves to read Fiction, Child Development, and Mindset-themed books. Her ultimate recommendation is Red Tent by Anita Diamant as it was such a memorable read.ConnectAll ways to connect with Christina can be found via her website www.christinafulcherpilates.co.uk This is a public episode. How to use your intuition
Intuition is such a beautiful topic to explore! Leanna Raspini enjoys helping you to tap into what it can bring you especially around decision making. Leanna has a beautiful way of exploring words, feelings and in relationship to that breathing and subsequent movement. We explore the word trauma and how in society if the trauma is not deemed significant then it is often overlooked whereas Leanna, acknowledges any trauma that is traumatic to you, spends time with it, hears it and then helps you work it through.I really loved hearing that intuition can be equally as loud as our mind and finding balance between the two can be really special! In the conversation we talk about Integrative Quantum Medicine (IQM) and Trauma Release which you may wish to explore further with Leanna. Is it possible to be kind in all you do?

Is it possible to be kind in all you do?
Have you ever sat back and considered what the word kindness could mean above and beyond saying that the world could do with a bit more of it?Would you be surprised that the key to kindness is actually boundary setting as is intuition, showing up authentically and courageously?Sophie Bretag’s own personal journey through post natal depression, and her partner who suffered Global Transient Amnesia shows that self-kindness was essential in these times.Leaders - start with saying hi to everyone you work with, kindness starts there and will build slowly, and authentically into the culture of your business. We chat about the power young leaders have in the world today too!Learn about environment and sensorial tips you can bring into your workplace as part of your acts of kindness towards your team.Feminine energy from Sophie's stance is one of evolution, and that we are still learning how to transition in the workplace with a bit more acceptance of this magical energy.Comfort zones - learn about the magic of stepping out of them. I did just that when I reached out to Sophie for this very conversation! In Australia state by state there is a new legislation being introduced to their Health & Safety codes that asks each business to hold responsible and a duty of care towards removing Psycho-Social hazards. This to me is revolutionary, where else is this happening?Quotes Sophie shares:'What you walk past, you accept''Kindness is THE most underrated skill in business' a quote Sophie had seen from Gary Vee and sparked our conversation around kindness having a return on investment as happy, seen, valued staff results in happy clients, customers, communities and families (depending on your sector).Book & Music recommendations:Seek out Binaural Beats Music here on Spotify - a strategic way to bring music into your events, to find focus or even improve your sleep.Dare to Lead by Brene Brown - the topic of shame that Brene taps into offers a difficult but widely healing space for us all.Contagious by Jonah Berger have been moving for Sophie on her own mentored journey.A variety of titles on Herbalism and Aromatherapy to further engage sensorial work that Sophie utilises.Herbs, Flowers, Essential Oils - The Green Witch by Arin Murphy-HiscockDivine Feminine and Power of the Wild Woman – Women Who Run With Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola EstesWellbeing at Work - Thrive by Arianna HuffingtonMindset and Happiness - Joyful by Ingrid Fetell LeeI also mentioned a true story I'm currently reading when you need to ground yourself called The Salt Path by Raynor Winn.Candle on filmSophie's candle was hand made and poured by my Acupuncturist Healer, Jab Acupuncture (her name is Tracey).Connect with Sophie when you just know you're ready to work with her:Linkedin: Sophie BretagInstagram: @mettaleadersWebsite: www.mettaleaders.com This is a public episode. How to be well in mid-life
When is the midlife, and is it a crisis point? Feeling different beyond the need for a wardrobe change, and a haircut. Searching, and looking for the way forward. She followed a mate into studying holistic therapies rather than following her own personal dreams, and ambitions. The career began losing its sparkle, and led to loneliness and poor health - she discusses finding it hard to share how she was really feeling amongst the company of CEO's, and managers, yet desperately wanting to jump off the cycle of what was just happening around her.Location, location, location and Covid aided the positive shift, and helped Lindsay to discover what she really wanted to do. Movement also helped the shift from Tennis to Sup Boarding! The woo hoo moment of this shift! Permission arriving in the form of a redundancy. In this time she paused, stopped and listened enough to what's really going on, and a timely reminder that we're all trying to live a life here!Lindsay now leads a retreat in Portugal, a few weeks of the year at https://wildviewretreat.com and talks openly about how this opportunity came to fruition after reaching out and connecting with the retreat owner offering her vast experience to support the team with nutrition and wellness along with supporting individual needs with health coaching. Do we have to plan?

Do we have to plan?
There's a lot to be said for slowing things down, not rushing them, letting them percolate, and evolve. Bodhini Hridaya shares this naturally simply by showing up this way. Trusting the universe...when it comes to planning what's the best way? To plan or not to plan, do what others do! At school she was told by teachers that she can't sing, has no rhythm, and are not meeting the brief of creative projects. Yet went on to enjoy a career in sound, music, and mantra.Have you ever reflected on why music, sound, rhythm is so supportive for you?Another element to Bodhini's work is Yoga - not necessarily in the physical and postural sense but the meditative sense through online and in person workshops, retreats, and gatherings. As part of her journey she spent 6 weeks in India along with an opportunity to receive a spiritual name. Not feeling connected to her birth name. That name inspired a personal mantra for her own journey - sharing the love and finding peace within. When you're on a different path, and you're not sure it's the right one, Bodhini's own story highlights how you may transition, noticing what makes you light up, notice a reduction in passion, and why not take the leap, and for her it was shortly before the lockdown! Running a new business through lockdown, helped her discover the benefits of online working, seeing more people 'show up' led her to realise 'I just want to be here, doing what I love to do'.In this therapeutic conversation we explore femininity through Yoga representations of Shiva & Shakti and with regard to the levels of stress she witnesses she asks, surely there has to be more to life than being on high alert! Here we appreciate the importance of a therapist's work, a blend of holistic therapies and meditation, and how people are pro-actively looking for solutions for themselves with the pressure on the NHS.Doing the work that Bodhini does has restored faith when she witnesses moments of compassion and kindness, rather than the armchair critic on social media.Book recommendationsTrust and surrender sought through Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa YoganandaExploring various titles on Druidry to explore her connection with nature.Music lovesPrince to mantra music!
