The Drunk Women Solving Crime podcast isn't exactly what it claims to be. Yes, the hosts are drunk. But they don't manage to solve the crimes they discuss in each episode. Still, this podcast is a fun listening experience for those who enjoy true crime and comedy. Each week, the hosts get together with a guest to chat about an unsolved crime for about an hour.
The three hosts of Drunk Women Solving Crime have other jobs, too. When she's sober, Hannah George writes for children's television. Catie Wilkins does standup comedy and has authored several books. Taylor Glenn also does standup and writes comedy. All three of the podcast hosts live in the UK.
Every week, Hannah, Catie, and Taylor have a guest on Drunk Women Solving Crime. Heidi Regan talks about the crimes she's abetted without knowing it. Comedy writer Kimia Etemadi shares her brief experience as a vigilante in an episode. Lou Sanders discusses her nefarious past in the episode she joins.
Drunk Women Solving Crime also has a Men's Month. The podcast devotes November to inviting male comedians to the show. Saturday Night Live cast member Mikey Day talks about the night he spent in jail. In another episode, comedian Ed Byrne describes the world of "swag-bag supplies." Comedian Bilal Zafar also joins, telling the hosts about the time he framed his parents.
The podcast usually shares a cold case and a description of a crime every week. The hosts prefer bizarre, ridiculous, or silly crimes. The audience will sometimes chime in with their salacious true crime. While the hosts and their guests aren't great at solving crimes, they succeed in making their audiences laugh throughout the show.
Listeners may appreciate the high energy of the podcast and the quality of its guests. In the live episodes, the hosts love to interact with their audience, making the listener feel as if they are right there in the room. Drunk Women Solving Crime has new episodes each week.
