Mars will be retrograde from December 6 to February 23. Mars will start its retrograde period in Leo and then move back into Cancer in early January.   This will give the next few months a sense of stalled progress or sluggish movement. In general, Mars retrograde is a great time to review how you express your needs and wants and how you assert yourself. Cards will also oppose Pluto to add some power dynamics to the mix. This solar, or New Moon Eclipse in Libra is about endings. The influence of the South Node on this eclipse will highlight themes of releasing and purging. This is a good time to end troubling patterns and to move them out of your life. You might find there is a greater ease for you in topics dealing with spirituality, altruism and depth.  Eclipses are also a time where things can get unstable. Give yourself some space to sit with your uncertainty during this time. ‘Less is more’ is good advice to follow. This two-week period marks the time between eclipses. Time feels charged and potent in this in-between period.  Be kind and gentle to yourself as you navigate this energized space.  The Sun moving into Libra marks the equinox. The equality between light and dark is a reminder for us to strive for balance and moderation. This is a great time of year to recalibrate our commitments and priorities.  Shortly after the Sun enters Libra, Venus moves into Scorpio. Expect depth and intensity with this placement. It is also the last lunation before the start of eclipse season.  The impact of Virgo and Saturn provides a grounding energy to the September New Moon.
