About the author of The Bierton Crisis. The author tells the reason for his secession from the Bierton Strict and Particular Baptists Church, in 1984, over matters of conscience. The Bierton Strict Baptist Church was a Gospel Standard cause but slipped into the error of allowing general redemption to be taught and not particular redemption. This was effective by the other male member, and sent minister of the church, teaching Sunday school children and their unconverted parents, that Jesus loved them, each one, and also by encourage them to sing general redemption hymns, such as Jesus Love Me this I know, for the bible tells me so.

Also holding none scriptural views about the Church building and its furniture, believing they should be reverenced. They also believed the Law of Moses was the rule of life for the believer and not the gospel of Christ, and it was also believed the cassette recorder and television set was of the world and not to be used or owned by a church member.

David Clarke, the author, and sent minister of the gospel, from the Bierton Church, sought to correct these errors, and this book tells all about it.
