17-11-2023
The Lack of Care in Child Welfare
This episode takes a deep dive into the inequalities and injustice in the child welfare system. Host Ali Lamb interviews Temple University Professor Sarah Katz, where they discuss Katz's experience and research in the child welfare system. Topics navigated include: should the child welfare system be called something else? Where are we seeing inequalities and injustice in the system? Can we better the system, or should we dismantle it entirely? Katz provides her expertise on the above subjects, and provides her insights and information about her project, the Stoneleigh Foundation.
