Catherine Cannuli made her debut on the national stage in 2011, Born with a passion for the game, Cannuli's journey began at the grassroots level with the Marconi Stallions, where her innate talent as a forward quickly became apparent. During her prolific career, Cannuli showcased her goal-scoring prowess in various clubs across Australia. She started with the NSW Sapphires from 2000 to 2004, amassing an impressive 35 appearances and netting 18 goals. Her stint at Sydney FC from 2009 to 2011 saw her make 22 appearances, contributing three goals to the team. The 2011-2012 season saw her don the Brisbane Roar jersey, making 11 appearances and continuing to make a significant impact. A move to the Western Sydney Wanderers from 2012 to 2014 marked a prolific phase in Cannuli's career. Playing 22 games and finding the back of the net eight times, she solidified her reputation as a forward with finesse and a scoring instinct. At the conclusion of her playing career, Cannuli transitioned to coaching. In the 2021-22 season, Cannuli was the head coach for the Wanderers, further solidifying her position as a respected leader in women's football. Beyond the pitch, Cannuli has become a familiar voice in the football community. Her insightful commentary graces Paramount+ coverage of A-League Women, providing fans with expert analysis and a unique perspective garnered from years of on-field experience. Additionally, she has taken on the role of Technical Director for Southern Districts SFA and leads the women's program at SD Raiders, showcasing her dedication to the development of football at all levels.
