The Navigating Local Systems (NLS) work began in the autumn of 2019 and sits alongside the work of Sport England's Local Delivery Pilots. As part of National School Sport Week, we speak with a primary school in Leeds who have had success and seen wider benefits from engaging in competitive table tennis.Shakespeare Primary School in Leeds competed in the national schools finals at under 11s girls level earlier this academic year, becoming the first West Yorkshire school in 30 years to reach the national finals at that age group.

We chat with Rashida Salloo, founder of Ready Steady Active, a small organisation based in Kirklees, West Yorkshire.
