Crossing Currents: Aotearoa New Zealand Artists in Venice

Contemporary HUM

Even without a national pavilion, 2024 proved to be an historic year for Aotearoa artists in Venice, with the most artists from Aotearoa New Zealand – and the most Ngā toi Māori artists – to ever feature at the Venice Biennale and parallel events. Listen to the artists as they unravel the processes, inspirations and politics behind presenting at the world’s most prestigious contemporary art event and simultaneous exhibitions in Venice.
