ESG - the intersection with technology and assurance
Being largely unknown and under-reported before 2018, interest in ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) has skyrocketed to the top of corporate and public interest agendas - with new swathes of regulations, heightened interest from investors and increasing scrutiny from concerned consumers. But what does ESG really mean to businesses? What explains its meteoric rise and where is it headed? In this episode, we cover these questions and more, to give some insight into the subject and how it interplays with technology. Izaan Khan, Privacy and Data Protection Consultant at Mazars, joins the conversation today to discuss the past, present and future of ESG, covering how ESG assurance works and its intersection with technology. Izaan is a certified Europrivacy Implementer and Auditor, and has been called to the Bar of England & Wales. He helps a variety of organisations and companies with their privacy management programs and data governance activities. Joining Izaan are Conrad Volker and William Hughes, both from Mazars.
