Which ghosts rob motels? Christie and Heather answer these questions on this hilarious and (sometimes) true crime podcast.

Christie and Heather are two Texas comedians who enjoy all things frightening. When they started the podcast in 2018 they were curious to know how popular their show would become. Magazines like Marie Claire and Women's Health and the Vulture website have applauded Sinisterhood. Heather and Christie set out to find the truth about each tale that comes their way. Their hard work shows in each episode's careful research.

Heather has been writing and performing comedy for almost 20 years. She's also a lawyer who's worked for the Innocence Project and one of the world's top firms. Heather brings her legal expertise and fascination with the Constitution to the podcast. Christie started dabbling in the frightening when she was young. Her reciting "Bloody Mary" in the bathroom mirror wasn't uncommon. Now she writes performs and teaches comedy while indulging her paranormal interests.

In "The Gateway Experience" Christie and Heather discuss a 1950s radio executive. He discovered he could travel beyond using the power of his mind. Soon the US government tried to use his methods. During the episode Heather and Christie examine a declassified CIA report.

A three-part episode investigates the Cult of Synanon. How did a drug rehabilitation program become an unconventional community? Charles E. Dederich Sr. founded Tender Loving Care in 1958. Dederich created group "truth-telling sessions" the Synanon Game." It was a form of "attack therapy." It disbanded in the 1990s after authorities convicted members of fraud attempted murder and other crimes.

Sinisterhood listeners learn about Australia's Yowie and other strange creatures. There's plenty of murder intrigue and scares in each installment. New episodes appear to frighten listeners once a week or more.
